About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Stopover in Beijing. Do I need visa?

Im flying from Australia to Beijing where I have a 19 hour stopover before I fly to Canada. I'm really confused as to whether I need to purchase a transit visa or not.

If you do not leave the airport and just stay at the transit area during the 19 hours, no visa is needed.
