About:China Tourist Visa

Does a person travelling on an L visa need to get a registration certificate upon arrival in China?

I arrived in China on a Z-visa and I was required to get a registration certificate with my long term lodging for the processing of my residency and work permit. Is a registration certificate required for those traveling on an L visa? Is any sort of registration required?

If you enter China with a L visa, you may just have to register your entry at the immigration office of the entry port and the exit port.
