Possible work in China

Hi,

I have a possible employer in China and I already sent them all the requirements they need to apply for my work permit so I can get a Z visa here in the Philippines. They said they will let me know soon if everything goes well but they are a bit afraid that i might be denied due to the strife between the Phils. and China over the spratlys island. Do you have any word about this? Is china already banning Filipinos to work there? Please let me know if there is any news about this. Thanks.

Don't worry too much, you can still apply for a work visa from the Chinese embassy or consulate in Philippines. I met someone who just got his last week.

Alvin, i just want to ask if there is anything needed to like a visa notification form from China/ possible employer that needs to be approved before i can file for a work visa at the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines? Or i can just go in file one in the Chinese embassy in Philippines? I think the chinese embassy in manila will not grant a working visa without approval from China embassy in China/ or like their ministry affairs? Thank you

To apply for a China Z visa, you need your employer in China to provide you an invitation letter from a duly authorized Chinese unit & a confirmation of invitation from the local foreign affairs office as well as the original Working Permit by Ministry of Labor and Social Security or by the State
Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs as assistance of your visa application.
