Visa or not a Visa required for NZ passport holders to have a day trip to Shenzhen

Hi Melissa
You replied today that NZers could get a Visa at the border for a maximum visit of 5 days but do we actually NEED a VISA for a day trip. Arriving about 10 am and leaving around 6pm on the same day ?
