About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

Do I need to show confirmed air ticket in order to apply for China visa?

I am a Pakistani citizen, working in UAE University Al-Ain. I need to visit Beijing to attend an international conference in July 2012.

yes, you need confirmed air ticket to apply for a China F visa. Besides, invitation letter from your inviting Chinese organization is required.
