can i go to the city while in transit?

Question

I will be stopping by from India at Shanghai on June 1st at 11:00 am and it is 6 hours stopover time. So can I go to the city for 3/4 hours before my depurture?

I guess you will arrive at Shanghai PVG airport from India, right? If yes, I am afraid time will be a bit tight if you go for a visit to the city center, since it takes about one and a half hours transfer from PVG airport to the city area.
