family Visit Visa / Resident Permit

Hi all,
I and my fiancee are getting married in Singapore ( May 2012 ) and are planning to move back to stay in China after Christmas and I need to apply for a Family Visit Visa / Resident Permit. Can someone please advise do I have to get my marriage certificate issued in Singapore authenticated / translated into Chinese ?
Many thanks in advance.
