About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Travelling to China for the first time. I have dual citizenship.

I am planning to go to China as a tourist. I am Filipino-American, dual citizenship, holder of American passport. Could you advise me on how and what visa should I get? I will be coming from the Philippines.

You may either apply for the China visa with your Pakistan passport ot American passport. Pakistani ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa fees, but American passport holders may have to pay a relatively high visa fee. However, Americans may apply for the China visa individually, but individual visa application for toursm to China is not accepted by the embassy (Pakistanis must apply for China tourist visa as a group of over 5 members). I advise you apply for the visa from the local China embassy or consulate in your living place.

Hi Zeus, sorry for my mis-reading. You may just apply for a China tourist visa from the China Embassy or consulate in Philippines with either passport. You may just walk into the visa office to submit your application during the office hours, or if you can't go in person, you may also send a friend or a travel/visa agent on your behalf. A single entry China tourist visa costs 1400 pesos for USA Citizens and 6500
pesos for Filipino citizens.

Thank you. I hope the consulate can also accommodate further enquiries.
