About:Tibet Travel

We want to go to Tibet, visit its capital city and Bayi town in January, how is the weather?

Is it possible to visit it?And how it's better to go from Lhasa to Basum-Tso? Thanks

It is excruciatingly cold in winter there. In Lhasa, the temperature can plummet to minus 16 degrees C (3 degrees F) in winter! Heavy snow may happen during Jan there. In fact, July and August are the best time to visit the region. From that city to Basum-Tso, you can firstly take bus to Bayi Town, and then hire a vehicle with other passengers to get there.
