@renewal of passport

Question

I am on a scholarship in changsha and would like to renew my guyanese passport which expires soon. what steps should i take. as a student am i required to have a resident permit ...not clear on this issue.

You have to go to the Embassy in Beijing to submit the documents below in person:1. duly filled passport application form2. Two recent passport size photos3. A copy of the Applicant’s Birth certificate4. A copy of the Applicant’s Naturalized Certificate if he/she is a Naturalized citizen5. A copy of the Applicant’s Residence Permit  The fee for New Passport is US$60 or RMB480 The fee for Renewal of Passport is US$31 or RMB248
