About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

UK passport holder resident in Ireland past 10 years

As an EU citizen I do not require (or have) a residence permit or work permit to live in Ireland. These seem to be required for a visa to visit China. Can I apply in Dublin or must I apply in UK?

You can apply for China visa in Dublin even though you don't have a residence permit or work permit because it is not required for EU citizen, you can explain it to the visa officer.
