While i am in China i need to get a student visa for South Korea?

i am a U.S. citizen and will be working in China this summer. While i am in China i need to get a student visa for South Korea? Can I get a student visa for South Korea, while I am still in China? I have already been approved for school that starts at the end of summer. I don't want to have to fly back to the United States to get a visa.
