About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Can an American citizen renew or extend his Resident permit visa while in the Philippines?

My friend is an American citizen but is now in the Philippines. Can he renew or extend his Chinese Resident permit visa or get a 12 month L visa from the Chines Consular office here in the Philippines?

The Chinese rule regulated that only a person who has lived 5 years in China may obtain permanent residency visa of China. The fact is that a few people can get this visa, since China has a large population itself and there is no need to immgrate more. If your friend can provide all the required documents by the China Embassy, then he may be granted a 12-month multiple China visa.
