visa into China from Hong Kong

How much is a one entry visa into China when purchased in Hong Kong for an Australian passport holder ( reason is the Melbourne visa conculate told us to get a 1 entry visa - but that will be used up by our visit from HK to Shenzhen and so we will need to purchase another visa to go to shanghai)

Yes, you may just apply for a Shenzhen visa at the entry port of Shenzhen for your trip from Hk to Shenzhen and save the one entry China visa you had for the trip to Shanghai, but you must stay in Shenzhen for less than 5 days.

If you will go to Shanghai from Shenzhen directly, the single entry China visa is enough for you.
