About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

I am a NZ citizen living in Australia What visa do i need to attend a confernce and be a tourist?

I think you should apply for a China business visa for this, and in the visa application form, you should add your travel plan, then the China Embassy or consulate may granted a proper duration on your visa.
