About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

I have HK birth certificate, can I apply HK ID card at your office in San Francisco?

If so, what documentation do I need to bring along with me to apply?

Please apply for Hong Kong ID card and Hong Kong passport together, then you can apply for them at China consulate in San Francisco, please refer to http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/immigration/idcard/ to read the requirements. It takes 4 -8 weeks because the applications need the approval of Hong Kong Immigration Department.
