More entries needed on F-Visa

Hi! My name is Ash and I am currently in Shanghai.

I have an F-Visa with two entries which I have already used up. I have to fly to Hong Kong this Sunday for a week to attend a wedding but need more entries to return to Shanghai and complete my studies. Will it be possible to obtain more entries before this Sunday (26th February) by applying to the PSB in Shanghai?

Also, what documents will I need? I had the official letters from my university, but when I applied for my current visa in Brisbane the office took the papers and didn't return them.

Thank you for your help!

You can't apply for a China visa in Shanghai, but you can apply for it from the visa office of PRC in Hk. If you will go back to Shanghai to continue your study, then the official letters from your university are necessary.

One thing I want make it clear. Do you have a temporary residence permit issued by the local public security bureau of shanghai? If yes, I think it is still valid now, since you said that your study isn't over now.
In this case, you may just return to Shanghai with the China residence permit.

Thanks for that David! Unfortunately I don't have a temporary residency permit so I guess I will have to somehow reacquire the official documents and apply back in Hong Kong...
