hong kong to hanoi

Hello, is that right, from HKG to Guangzhou, then to Nanning 1day stay there and then to Hanoi, it needs 2 nights? And have train also only cabins for 2 Persons? Is it a good idea in the end of December? Thanks Greetings from Switzerland
