About:China Consulate in Houston

My wife and myself are applying for a tourist visa on your form v2011A to join a tour starting

5/25/12 to visit Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. If there are any corrections to be made when the visa officer checks our form, can we correct the forms while we are at your consulate counter in Montrose, instead of going back home and re-do the forms again. We live at least 50 miles away from the consulate.
The tour will last for 10 days but since we are applying for the visa now, should we check the box at 2.3 for multiple entries valid for 6 months or 12 months from application?. We would appreciate a response at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Antoine, You can't correct the forms while you are at the Houston consulate at Montrose Boulevard, now, The Application Form must be fully completed on a computer and clearly printed out except that the signature should be hand written. Altered forms or hand written forms will not be accepted. No hard copy of the Application Form will be provided in the Visa Hall. Please make sure that all paper work is in order before you submit your application. You can find a place near the consulate to correct the visa application form on computer and then print it out, you don't need to go home to re-do the forms again.

A single entry visa is only valid for 3 months, you can't apply for a China visa before 25th Feb, 2012, you choose the box at 2.2 multiple entries valid for 6 months or 12 months from application, but nobody can sure you can get it, the final decision is up to visa officer. Please apply for visa in March or April.
