About:Chinese Consulates in India

Do U.S. citizens living India need visa for China?

1) Do u.s. citizens living in india need visa for china?
2) iIf yes, can they get visa in mumbai though they may be living anywhere in india? is there a consulate in chennai, bangalore or hyderabad?
3) What is the procedure - fee / method to apply / how long it takes /for what duration of stay can you get it?
4) Does china visa include visa for hongkong & macau also?
5) What is the validity to enter & stay in china with multiple entry visa?
6) Can you apply for china visa online?

1. yes, you need a visa to China.
2. there is a Consulate General of China in Mumbai, and you should apply for the visa from the cosulate general if you are living in the area that is under its Consular Jurisdiction.
3. You can either apply for the visa from the consulate in person or entrust a travel agency. The normal visa procedure takes 4 working days. The duration will be approved by the consular officers according to the documents you provided. Usually, the duration of a China tourist visa is 30 days.
4. US passport holders are visa free to Hk for 90 days and to macau for 30 days in fact.
5. Usually, you are permitted to enter and stay in China for less than 30 days for each entry.
6. Applications by courier or through mail are accepted by the Consulate General of China in Mumbai.
