About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

From Guam but travelling to New York, can apply for tourist visa in New York still?

I have a business trip in New York & would like to help my fiancee apply for his tourist visa for China. I know that Guam falls under the LA embassy/consulate office. Can I just submit the application & passport in New York? This would be a great benefit as I am not able to fly to Los Angeles at this time.

I think you will have to submit your application in the China Consulate-general in LA. However, there is also the possibloty that you get a China visa from the China Embassy in New york if you meet a kind consular officer, but the premise is that you still have time to re-apply for the visa in LA if your application is rejected in New york.
