the currency to pay for tourist visa application in Melbourne

Hi,
I'm a Malaysian, currently living in Melbourne as a permanent resident. What currency do I pay for tourist visa application to China and administrative fees. Is it in Malaysian or Australian currency?
Can I apply in Melbourne?
