Can I apply for Transit Visa if I go to Guangzhou by train for 24 hours during 2 days in Hong Kong?

I am flying into and out of Hong Kong and will be there for just 2 days... during this time I would like to go to Guangzhou by train for 24 hours. Is a transit visa applicable in this situation?

A transit visa is not applicable in this situation, you need a single-entry China visa, you don't need a visa to Hong Kong.
