Soft Sleeper from Lijiang to kunming

Our family has 3 persons and plan to travel by soft sleeper from Lijiang back to Kunming (Apr.19). Can we purchase 4 tickets for whole cabin to avoid someone else stay in the same cabin.

No, you can't. Real-name train ticket policy applies to all trains in China since January 1, 2012. Identification such as ID card or Passport is required to book the train tickets.
