Passport with valid visa till 2013 running out of space

My China visa (L) expires in 2013 in my current passport but there is very limited space left for immigration stamping. I am thinking of applying for a new passport now. In such a case is the visa valid in the previous passport even though I take it along with me together with the new one when I visit China next week. Please reply me as soon as possible. Thank you

The visa on your previous passport is still valid if you take it along with you together with the new passport when you visit China next week.
