Visa for foreigner in Korea

I'm a German citizen, currently living in South Korea. I will leave Korea soon and fly back to Germany, but in between I want to visit a dear friend in China. After my visit in China, I would like to return straight to Germany (without returning to Korea). Since I want to go to China when leaving Korea, my Alien Card won't have 6 months validity remaining. Does that mean, I have no possibility to obtain a Chinese visa in Korea - and instead have to ask a agency in Germany to get me a visa there and send it to me to Korea?

Yes, it is impossible for you to apply for a China visa in South korea without 6 months validity left on the Alien card.
The original passport is required when applying for China visas? Are you sure you can send your passport back to Germany for the application while you are in Korea?
