The Consular Department of Chinese Embassy in Seoul will be closed to the public from January 23rd to January 25th for the Chinese(Lunar) New Year, it resumes to work on January 26th, 2012. However, if you don't have a Korean Alien Registration Card with at least 6 months validity, you can't obtain a China visa in Korea, it is the rule of China embassy/consulates in Korea. You can go to Hong Kong or Macau to apply for a China visa if you don't want to return to Germany.
