As I know, the foreign employee over the age of 60 years are not allowed to work in China because it is impossible for the employer to get an Alien Employment License for them, without the Alien Employment License, it is impossible for them to get a work visa to China, however, they can work in China on a business visa or tourist visa as an option, when they fill in the visa application form, you can't click employment as the major purpose of coming to China if they want to get a business visa or tourist visa to China.
