A1. You need a China visa to travel to Shanghai.
If you stay in Hong Kong for less than 90 days, you won't need a Hong kong visa. Otherwise, you need to apply for a hong Kong visa in advance.
A2. China tourist visa requirements are: your passport, one recent passport photo, completed visa application form V2011A and probably air-ticket and hotel reservation.
A3. You need to fill up visa application form V2011A online and then print it out.
A4. A single-entry visa is OK for you.
A5. It usually takes 4 working days to process a visa.
A6. You should go to China Visa Application Service Center to apply the visa. ( Add: 2nd Floor, Plaza OSK, 25 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur). The center will be closed on January 23 and 24 for Chinese New Year.
