About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Fees for SAR Passport & HK ID Card

The Chinese Consulate in Toronto only accepts debit card and money order. I don't have a debit card. That means I need to know in advance the exact total payment for the SAR passport and the Hong Kong Permanent ID card before submitting the applications. Could you provide me the information, please? Thank you.

I don't know the total fee, I only know that you need to pay CA$ 65 (handling service fee and fee for mailing your application to Hong Kong Immigration Department) for the Toronto Consulate.

As for the HKSAR passport & HK ID card fee and the fee for mailing them to Canada from Hong Kong, you should call Hong Kong Immigration Department to enquire it: Tel: 852-28246111

Thanks Lily for the answer. It gives me an idea how the system works. I found the fees in the HK Government website. It's HK$370 for the passport and free for the ID card. Do you know if there's HST on top of the $65 handling service fee?

CA$ 65 doesn't include Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). The consulate doesn't charge HST for the handling service because the consulate is a Non-Profit Unit.
