can i marry chinese resident on a tourist passport

Question

am a scottish male and got engaged just before chinese girlfriend  went back home. she had been working as a nurse here in a 2 yr visa. is it easier to get married here or china?if i get chinese tourist  visa can i get married there then come home and then apply for spouse visa?please can someone help as me and my fiance keep getting conflicting advise much appeciated thank you.

it is easier to get married in China. If you get Chinese tourist visa, you can get married in China and then apply for a spouse visa at the local exit-entry administrative bureau of Public Security Bureau.
