Tourist VISA to Beijing

I am planning on going for a vacation in Beijing as I have a friend there. What documents would I require to produce in order to apply for a VISA. And what type of VISA should I apply for?

For tourism, Sri Lankan nationals are not allowed to apply for an individual tourist visa to China. They have to join a tour and apply for a group tourist visa to China.

You can click that you come to Beijing for visiting friends for the 2.1 section on the visa application form, then maybe the embassy will issue you a L visa. Your friend should send you an invitation letter with the photocopy of his passport and Chinese residence permit.
