how to get tourist visa without tourist agency?

hello, im russian passport holder and currently living in Korea. i want to go to China (Guanzhou) for 5 days travel to meet my friend. how can i apply for tourist visa? how much it will cost? how long does it take to receive, and what documents i need? from previous Q&A i saw that i need invitation from travel agency or hotel reservation , but i will stay in my friends house. in this case what should i do?

You have to apply for China tourist visa through one of the travel agencies designated by China embassy/consulate in Korea. The embassy/consulate doesn't accpet direct application from ordinary passport holders. The required documents: 1. your Russian passport and copy of bio pages 2. one passport photo 3. completed visa application form V.2011A and V.2011B 4. round-trip flight tickets 5. invitation letter from your friend together with the copy of his passport and residence permit 6. Korean Alien Registration Card with at least 6 months remaining validity It costs 35,000 wons for single entry visa, but you also need to pay service fee (20,000 wons at most) for the travel agency. It takes 4 working days for processing.

thanks a lot for the first answer. and one more, please let me know real travel agencies in Seoul or Incheon which work with chinese embassy directly, so that i can apply for visa. i already have documents, and invitation letter from my friend.

ekaterina, sorry, I can't read Korea, I know that the List of travel agencies designated by the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in Seoul is on this page http://kr.china-embassy.org/chn/lsqz/ls_qz/ls_qz_13/t229558.htm, however, it is in Korean version, you can find a Korea friend to translate it for you.
