special places in guangzhou

we have been to guangzhou many many times so have visited almost all tourist places recommended by books and travel agents. we are going again soon and run out of ideas what to do and where to go this time. any advice from you?
- someone mentioned to us the South China Botanical Garden. is it good? how to go (we will stay at Landmark Canton Hotel)?
- if we want to have a short one-day excursion out of guangzhou, do you have any place suitable for us?
- someone mentioned to us about 南海一號博物館. it is good? how to go to there from guangzhou?
thanks.

Hi, if you have visited the most famous attractions, I would like to recommend the following sights for you: Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family, Chimelong Resort, Huaisheng Mosque, Lotus Hill, Nansha Tianhou Palace, Shamian Island, Western Han Nanyue King's Tomb Museum, South China Botanical Garden and Guangdong Provincial Museum. You may also check the link

for detailed info.

For South China Botanical Garden, you can check the link:
https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/guangdong/guangzhou/south-botanical-garden.htm
From your hotel, you can walk to the Taikang station to take Bus236 and transfer to the Bus28 or 29 and get off at the South China Botanical Garden station.

All the relics about the South China Sea No. 1 are displayed in the Maritime Silk Route museum in Guangdong, which is located in Hailing island, Yangjiang city. It will take you around 6 hours, including 4 hours' train and 2 hours' drive.
