About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

A UK citizen residing in UAE and intended to visit RoC after two weeks.

Please be informed that I am a UK citizen and currently working in UAE. I intended to visit your country as a tourist preferably Beijing and Shanghai after 2 weeks. However, i am still planning to have a short leave to UK, then proceed to your country, is it still required for me to apply for a tourist visa?

Yes, it is still required for you to apply for a tourist visa to China. You can apply for Chinese tourist visa in UAE or UK.
