Do Chinese passport need tourist visas to Thailand? I ask for my Chinese friend

Yes, Chinese passport holders need tourist visa to Thailand. But they are waiver of visa fee. It is also possible for Chinese nationals to get a 30 days tourist visa on arrival, it costs 1,000 Thai Bahts. However, without valid visa, Chinese immigration checkpoints may don't allow them to exit China.
