About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

US Passport/Singapore Permanent Resident

My daughter and I are US citizens (US passports), but reside in Singapore and have permanent resident status here. We plan to visit Hainan Island to visit some of my wife's relatives there - not as part of an organized tour (my wife has a Singapore passport).

My question is: Do my daughter (age 5) and I need visas for China, and what is the processing time?
