You need a single entry visa because you only enter Mainland China once. As I know, many China embassies and consulates don't accept cash as means of payment, the money order, bank cheque are accepted. I don't know the payment methods of China embassy in Manila.

You can apply for China visa by yourself, if you can't come to the embassy in person, you can ask someone else to submit the application on your behalf.

At least 150,000 pesos in your bank account statement for 10 days tourist visa application.
