About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

Must we go inperson to obtain a visa--we live in southern california?

If you cannot come in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to drop off your application at the visa office of the Embassy and pick up the visa for you. Southern California is under the consular jurisdiction of China embassy in Washington D.C.
