About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Is it possible for an american citizen to apply for a China Visa via the consulate in Cape Town?

You can try to apply for a China visa through the consulate in Cape Town even though you don't reside or work in South Africa. Generally speaking, it is easy for a U.S. citizen to get a China visa in other countries.
