About:China Visa on Arrival

Do visa's need to state which country you are coming from?

I'm planning on travelling to Shanghai but stopping off of for two weeks in Malaysia. Does anyone know if when I apply for my VISA I need to have stated this on the application or if there are any known issues with UK arrivals coming from Malaysai rather than England?

There is no need to state that you are coming from Malaysia rather than your home country. It doesn't matter at all.
