Travel during new year eve to Lijiang and Shangri-La during new year eve 26-31 Dec

Hi, we plan to visit Lijiang and Shangri-La during new year eve 26-31 Dec. How is the weather condition that time? Also is it difficult to go around the attraction sites and to find a transportation?

It is cool, may be a little cold for you at that time in Lijiang and Shangri-la, especially at night. The temperature ranges from 0~14C. You need to take warm clothes.
It is not easy for you to go around the attraction sites by public transports if it is your first time to China. I suggest you join a local tour which can arrange all of these facts for you.

Thanks Ellen, is it possible to hire car with driver from Lijiang airport to Shangri-la just one way? We want to stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge, 1st Bend of Yangtze, Baishuitai lake and Whithe Water Terrace on the route to Shangri-la. What is about the cost of car if you can advise? Massive thanks.

It is possible to hire car with driver from Lijiang airport to Shangri-la just one way. Since you want stop at those scenic spots to have a visit, you'd better hire the car for one day. It usually costs CNY500-600.
