The best time to visit Guilin area is Sep. - Oct. By the first week of November, the temperature in Guilin is about 10-24 degrees. So, it is still warm to visit Guilin. Bring a warm over coat, for it is a bit cold at night. Usually the weather is bright and not rainy. But the actual situation should be got from the latest weather report. I know it is the season for persimmon. Guilin rice noodle, beer fish are local specialities. Apart from the Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, you can also visit Elephant Hill, Reed Flute Cave in Guilin, Yangshuo Old Town, West Street, the show of Impressive Sanjie Liu, Silver (Yinzi) Cave and Yinzi Old Village in Lipu, Huangyao Ancient Town in Hezhou.
