About:China Transit Visa

Travel to KUL, transit in Shanghai, stay 1 night, US passport. Do I need visa to go into the city?

If you are U.S. citizen, a visa is not required for the less than 48 hours transit in Shanghai. You can go into the city to visit and stay 1 night.
