tour jiuzhaigou from xian, what's the best way to do that?

I will be going to Xian coming October. I intend to go to Jiuzaigou from there. What is the best way to do it? Is it very far? Should I join a local tour to take me to Jiuzaiguo. Do I have enough time to go to Chengdu? I have 7 to 10 days befor flying off to Xiamen.

From Xian, you could take a flight to get to Jiuzhaigou directly. However, this airline will be stopped from the mid of Oct. If you miss it, you should  take a flight to Chengdu and then transfer to Jiuzhaigou by air or bus. I think you could spend 2~3 days in Xian and the rest days visiting Jiuzhaigou and Chengdu. If this is your first time here, participating a tour group will be more convenient.
