for business trip to China, i would like to apply for entry visa to China

If you want to get a business visa to China, you have to get an "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit" or "Confirmation Letter of Invitation". The host company or organization should get it for you, then send it to you for visa application.

If you can't provide the invitation letter, you can try to apply for a tourist visa to China, on the visa application form, you have to choose the tourism for the major purpose of your visit to China, if you choose business trip, the visa officer will ask you to provide to invitation letter.

For the tourist visa application, you need to prepare the following documents:
1. your passport and its photocopy
2. one passport photo
3. filled visa application form V.2011A
4. 3 months bank statement
5. roound-trip flight tickets and hotel booking
