During the pick-up date of visa, should everybody go in person for collecting those China visas?

Dear sir, could you please tell me that, during the pick-up date of visa, should everybody go in person for collecting those? Because, I have applied for one X-visa (for myself) and 3 L-visas ( one is 10 months, one is 4 years and another is 20 years old). I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
