About:China Customs Declaration

Question about declaration if bringing the following.

I am bringing the following:
Mobile phone (almost worthless)
Laptop (Netbook less than US$300)
Chocolate (US$10-30)
Prescription medication for personal use

Do I need to declare?
Will I pay tax?
Will they ask questions and what type?
What information do I need to write down? (i.e. value of items?, reason for use?)
Will I need to walk down the red path?

No Need to declare and no need to pay any tax. If Laptop is not apple product or not brand now, they will not ask. They may ask what kind of medicine, maybe not if you do not bring too much or special medicine. You will the declaration form which decided you go to red or green path. Write nothing to declare, then go the green path. There are samples to guide you how to fill and if you need to declare something.
