About:Hong Kong Travel

Travelling to Hong Kong from Guangzhou Airport (flying in from Melbourne, Australia),

total of six people, I was wondering about trains between Guangzhou and Hong Kong (frequency, prices, travel times, how far in advance to book etc.).

Also, would we need a Chinese visa to do this? Thanks.

If you want to take train, you can take subway line 3 from Guangzhou Airport to Guangzhou East Railway Station, then take train there to Hong Kong. The train fare is CNY190/person and takes about 2 hours. It runs on an interval about one hour. You can book it about ten days in advance. You need a Chinese visa to get into Guangzhou City.
