i'm iranian, work in shanghai, how to apply z visa for my wife?

Hello. nee your help .I'm an Iran citizen currently working in Shanghai with work visa /One year residence visa, now I would like to apply residence permit for my wife (also Iran citizen), but Shanghai exit-entry adiminstration said my wife must apply z visa from China Embassy in Iran. Now my wife is in Shanghai with L visa , what should we do ?As I know Z visa is for foreigners who will work in Shanghai, but my wife will not work here .What docs you need to release the Z visa to my wife ? Does she must back to Iran ? thanks

Z visa can also be issued to accompanying family members of foreigners who will work in China. Your wife needs to apply Z visa as dependent in Iran. Then go to Shanghai to apply for residence permit at the Shanghai exit-entry adiminstration. You can ask your employer to obtain a confirmation letter of invitation for your wife, then your wife can use it to apply Z visa as dependent in Iran, the copy of your passport, work permit and residence visa are also required.
